Downtime Activities
Some things we've talked about that you might want to do during downtime.
Spell Research - Adding a new spell to your spell book.
Skill: Arcane casting
Cost: 1,000gp per spell level
Time: 1 week per spell level
Check: Spellcraft skill check DC 10+spell level
Scribe a Scroll - Record a spell to a scroll for later use
Skill: Scribe Scroll feat, spell being scribed must be memorized and expended when scribed
Cost: 12.5gp X Spell level X Caster level
Time: 1 day per 1,000gp of the cost (1 day minimum)
Check: None
Craft Arms or Armor - Create a set of armor or a weapon.
Skill: Craft Magical Arms and Armor feat
Cost: Materials cost half the listed gp value for the item from the Core rulebook.
Time: 1 day per 1,000gp value of the item (total value, not the material cost)
Check: Craft skill check DC
Craft a Wand - Creating a wand (either divine or arcane)
Skill: Craft Wand feat + Spell you're trying to make a wand for
Cost: 750gp X Spell level X Caster level
Time: 1 day per 1,000gp of the cost
Check: Craft skill check DC 10 + caster level
Craft a Non-Magical Item - Creating a masterwork item, like armor or weapons
Skill: Crafting skill
Cost: Materials cost one third the listed gp value for the item from the Core rulebook.
Time: 1 week
Check: Craft skill check DC see Core book table 4-4 on page 93
Day Job - Crafting - Using their crafts or skills to make money on a week-to-week basis
Skill: Any crafting skill
Cost: Gain gold equal to half your crafting check per week
Time: 1 week
Check: Crafting check, no DC, higher the result then higher the gold earned
Day Job - Unskilled - Earn money as an untrained laborer on a day-to-day basis
Skill: None
Cost: Gain 1 silver per day
Time: 1 day
Check: None
If you're interested in doing something else let me know. There are of course many RP related activities that you could do during down time:
- Perform in a play (Sandpoint does have a theater)
- Start a relationship (you have encountered a number of lovely ladies, one of which has already shown interest in Vito)
- Craft a magical item to sell at profit (selling will depend on some Diplomacy checks and you'd need to go to Magnimar for a market, but could be very profitable)
- Spread your faith (for a lest a couple of you)
- Side adventures (with the virtual tool we could schedule an individual side quest, xps might be limited going solo, but it could still be rewarding. It could also be an RP based side adventure, like visiting a family member or searching for something)
So there are many options to think about. You'll have a couple of weeks very soon and then a longer period of time later on. So definitely start thinking about it.

Re: Downtime Activities
I'd like to have armor made and find someone that can write up scrolls for me. I can take the scrolls feat, but my spell selection isn't huge so seems wasteful to do so, but it is still an option if you guys want some pally spells to cast.
